Thank you for reading my new blog.  The older I get, the more I realize how important it is that we have daily communication with our Creator.  Many of us humans seem to believe that our Creator is an inaccessible power that needs and wants no contact with His/Her creations.

My hope is to be able to give you some guidance in the process of practicing the presence of God.  When I first began trying to do this, I had no idea how it would work.  God had never spoken to me, so I feared contact was impossible.  But all I needed to do was hold the intent to have an awareness of my Creator.  It was pretty minimal at first, and there were times when I thought I only imagined that I had been spending time with God.

As time went on, however, I became more and more sure that I had been in contact with an immense power that truly cared for me in a way that most other humans could not.  Today I have developed a real faith and belief that God is in control of my life.  Does this mean I don’t try to control it myself at times?  No, it does not.  At heart I am and always will be a control freak.  But overall, I have grown conscious that somehow all will be well in my life as long as I make an effort to do the things I feel are God’s will for me.

I hope you will enjoy this blog, and I would invite any of you who are so moved to join in and write some things yourself.   I think God is glad when his human family does more together.
